The client

Suitcase offers a solution for men who don’t have the time or interest to shop, or simply have no idea what to wear.

After completing an online profile, a personal Style Advisor is assigned to the customer. Based on their budget and profile, the advisor manually selects the perfect outfit, which is then conveniently delivered to the customer’s door. The customer only pays for the clothes they decide to keep. In short, Suitcase is an online service that delivers tailored outfits, style, and budget directly to the customer’s home.

The challenge

At the time of its launch in Belgium, the Suitcase concept was relatively unknown. However, the ambitions were sky-high. Our task was clear: attract more online customers for Suitcase!

Since Suitcase’s business model is based on a recurring subscription, attracting new customers is just the first step in the challenge. Convincing these one-time customers to make repeat purchases with sufficient frequency is key.

Needless to say, cost-efficiency is crucial in this process, especially for a start-up.

Our approach

We implemented a combination of awareness and acquisition strategies, based on a mix of inbound and outbound (prospecting) campaigns.

The focus in efforts and budget was on the acquisition part. In consultation with Suitcase, we calculated the maximum cost per step in the acquisition funnel, and then worked in an agile manner. Revenue and ROAS served as the ultimate compass in Dashboarding via Google Data Studio.

The result

Over a period of 18 months:

  • Number of leads (people who order a Suitcase): +378%
  • Halving of the initial Cost per Lead
