From 1+1=2 to a Powerful and Magical Team Spirit
“Happy employees lead to happy customers.” In many companies, this is just a hollow motivational slogan, but at Hybrid, it’s an everyday reality. In 2018, we noticed a kind of magic between our team members. Everyone is aligned and that team spirit results in a sum greater than the individual contributions. Passionate employees who truly apply “work hard & play hard,” and as CEO, I can only be proud of that!
Hybrid aims to create the most comfortable working conditions possible. In 2018, the digital expert agency moved to a new location in the heart of the city (Mechelsesteenweg). This means we are now based in the most vibrant and friendly place in Flanders, a city where millennials, our core audience, feel at home.
The Hybrid team continues to grow: in 2018, we were thrilled to welcome 5 new colleagues. A warm welcome to Sandy, Matthias, Lisselotte, Benjamin, and Diego!

Human Growth through TAAS and Performance Audits
TAA… what? With the TAAS model (Team as a Service), our Hybrid experts become part of your company, ensuring that your digital department always runs at its best. Hybrid started implementing this new business model in the summer of 2017. 2018 was the year we aimed to prove that TAAS was the right choice and a perfect alternative to a project-based approach. And we certainly succeeded! Thanks to the performance audits we conducted within the TAAS model, we gained 8 new clients for Hybrid in just 6 months.
These performance audits are an excellent way for us to showcase our way of working (much more than presenting cases) and to prove that we achieve results (far beyond drafting a traditional marketing plan). Growth driven by quality and a human-centered approach is the common thread running through our audits. In 2018, we also “sold” our first team rental: a full team hired for one year on a full-time basis.
Hybrid Academy: Nurturing Talent and Polishing Rough Diamonds
2018 was also the year of a birth at Hybrid… the birth of the Hybrid Academy. Our first boot camps were an immediate success: young talents are further developed to adapt flexibly to the rapidly changing market while keeping the big picture in mind.
A fantastic highlight of 2018 for Hybrid was the first official recognition our colleague Diego received. Hybrid took first place at the Data Driven YMCE Awards.
2019: The Same But Even Better
Hybrid aims to create value for its clients. Return on investment? No, ROI is outdated. We now talk about ROH (Return on Hybrid). Our ambition for 2019 is to continue creating ROH for our clients and to be a haven where brands come to recharge and achieve further growth.
The approach (TAAS model) that proved successful in 2018 will continue to be the foundation for achieving that growth in the coming year. Hybrid will increasingly position itself as an ultra-flexible workforce rather than a traditional agency. We provide people with a human approach, not just a strategy and execution.
Growth is something Hybrid is experiencing as well. In 2019, our agency will gain 20 new clients and 8 new colleagues. The team is also expanding. In January, we will welcome Carol and Bjarne to the family.
Further Development of the Hybrid Academy
Within the new Hybrid Academy concept, our company organizes boot camps and sessions aimed at guiding talent in the right direction and enabling sustainable personal growth. In 2019, each employee will also be supported by an individual program that allows them to outline their own career path. At Hybrid, it’s not just fun to work – you’re constantly learning as well.
The Hybrid Academy will also be partially opened up to our clients, who will be able to enjoy ‘knowledge nights’ in the future.
I believe 2019 will be both a year of consolidation and a year of further growth. I am confident that with the current strong team spirit, we will continue to build on the solid foundations we’ve laid over the past years. 2019 is going to be another great year, just like 2018!
